Toshiba Announces Operational Changes.

TOSHIBA PHONE SYSTEMS MAY BE WINDING DOWN, BUT VA&F IS JUST GETTING STARTED

April 7, 2017 — On March 22, 2017, Toshiba America Information Systems announced to their distribution channel and dealer network that they are winding down their marketing, sales and manufacturing operations.

Effective May 22, we can no longer place new equipment orders with Toshiba. However, Toshiba has committed to honoring all existing warranties, including extended warranty agreements currently in force.

Additionally, Toshiba will honor all software support and upgrade services (SUS) through the end of the existing commitment. Moreover, current production Toshiba systems will have access to technical support for the next 7 years. And lastly, VA&F will still be able to order Toshiba licensing for our customers that require expansion of their current IPEdge or CIX system after May 22.

I’m sure this announcement comes as a shock to our valued Toshiba customers as much as it does to VA&F. We want to make it very clear to our Toshiba customers that from our perspective, nothing has changed in regard to supporting current Toshiba customers. Though we will no longer be marketing Toshiba phone systems to new clients, we maintain a healthy stock of Toshiba parts and will continue to employ some of the best Toshiba technicians available. In fact, our VA&F technicians and staff have over 125 years of experience supporting our Toshiba customers. The knowledge and expertise we’ve earned over the past 30 years isn’t going away.
